The Most Common Mistakes Around Pre Wash

Common Mistakes Around Pre Wash

  • One of the most common mistakes we hear is that some might think that the pre wash stage/products will clean the car. You still need to get stuck into it using Hydro Shampoo and a Wash Mitt
  • Not using a pre wash stage can put you at risk of leaving swirl marks after cleaning and worst case scenario being left with unwanted scratches to your paint work.
  • Not using the correct dilutions as recommended on the bottles. This can make your products last longer and also give you a better result. Remember, sometimes less is more!
  • You don't need all the gear to have all the ideas, no need for expensive equipment or fancy Jet washes. Our viral Spray Bottle a hose pipe, a good Pre Wash and Snow Foam will do just fine if you do not have one to hand!

Must Have Products For Your Pre Wash

Do you pre wash your vehicles? If not, let me tell you why you should always do this...

You have probably hear this a thousand and one times already and yes, you are about to hear it again. The pre wash stage is one of the most Important parts of cleaning your car, in fact I would go as far as saying it is the MOST important stage of cleaning your car. This is where we can remove all those harmful contaminants in the safest way possible, keeping your car in tip top condition. Completing the stage correctly will make the rest of the process far more enjoyable and also much quicker meaning you have more time to all the other things in life you enjoy.

Unfortunately just shampoo, a mitt and a bucket won't cut the mustard. When going straight in with this you are at risk of causing further damage to your paint work and being left with those ugly swirl marks on the paintwork. This is due to not using a pre wash stage, our specially designed formula for our Hydro Pre Wash and Hydro Snow Foam is to help break down and loosen all the tough dirt and grime on the car. This means that after you have rinsed the car and are ready for a contact wash using the Hydro Shampoo and Wash Mitt, you are reducing the likelihood of further damaging and swirl marks, leaving your pride and joy look brand spanking new every single time.

Should you use the pre wash stage in the summer months when your car isn't as dirty? the simple answer is yes. We can always rely on the British weather to throw it all at us even through the summer months. This can still lead to a build up of tough dirt, grime and road salts and even more popular in the summer is the good old bugs splattered all over the bumper and Bonet. The pre wash and snow foam will help to break down and loosen all the harmful residue from this. So the key thing to remember is that the pre wash stage is your friend, your best friend in fact. Make sure you have the Hydro Pre Wash and Hydro Snow Foam in your arsenal of cleaning products, you'll thank us later!

How to apply your Hydro Pre Wash and Snow Foam...

It really is as easy as 1, 2, 3. No need for any complicated procedures or fancy jetwashers if you do not have 1 to hand, this can all be done with 3 simple but life changing products. First you want to grab yourself one of our famous Spray Bottles, then you need to get your pre wash, simply follow the mixing instructions on the back of the bottle. 4 parts water to 1 part chemical. Add this to your spray bottle and pump, then spray this onto the lower parts of your car. This is where you get the most build up of dirt and grime on the car.

Once you have done this, it's time for the fun part. Grab your snow foam and spray bottle, following the mixing instructions on the back of the bottle. 6 parts water to 1 part snow foam. Add this to your spray bottle and pump, then begin to spray, cover the car from bottom to top with the snow foam and leave this to dwell with the pre wash for 3-5 minutes. Making sure the chemicals are breaking down all the tough dirt and grime on the car.

Once you have left this to dwell you can use your weapon of choice to rinse this off whether it be a hose pipe or pressure washer, the choice is yours. And just like that, your car is now perfectly prepared ready for a contact wash with a Wash Mitt and Hydro Shampoo.
