Top 8 Products All Beginners Need In Their Car Cleaning Kit

Hydro Pre

This is one of our famous pre wash products. Super simple to use and the clue is in the name. We advise always starting the cleaning process with a pre wash, add this to your spray bottle following the dilutions recommended on the back of the bottle which is 4 parts water to 1 part Pre Wash. Spray this onto the lower parts of the vehicle as this is where the most dirt and grime will build. Leave this to dwell for 3-5 minutes then spray off using either a pressure washer of a hose. 

A top car care tip from us, layer the snow foam over the top of the pre! 

Hydro Snow

Next up, the fun part. It's time for the snow foam, again this is a super simple process that will make your car much easier to clean. Again, grab your spray bottle and attach your snow foam nozzle. Following the recommended dilutions on the back of the bottle, 6 parts water to 1 part Snow Foam. Now either apply this over the top of the Hydro Pre or spray it on separately. Make sure you cover the whole car with this and grab a quick insta worthy snap while you're at it. Once the car is covered, leave to dwell for 3-5 minutes and spray off. Just like that, your car is now perfectly prepped for a contact wash, it really is that simple! 

Hydro Shampoo

Now onto the Hydro Shampoo, the next essential on your list! Now your car is perfectly prepped using the pre wash products you're now ready for a contact wash. Our Hydro Shampoo is the perfect product. Add your chemicals to a nice clean bucket of water, grab yourself a Hydro Wash Mitt and get cleaning. Unfortunately there is no magic method to cleaning the car, you should always be using a contact wash to clean the car otherwise you'll car will never be fully clean! Apply this generously to the car starting from the top and working your way down the car and again, once you're done rinse off with a pressure washer or hose.

Hydro Fallout & Alloy

Another product that we believe is essential to have in your arsenal is the Iron Fallout, this is predominantly used for cleaning your wheels, however it can always be sprayed directly onto the car to remove micro grime and brake dust from the paintwork. Unfortunately we couldn't make this smell like fresh fruit as we've done on the rest of the products, the Hydro Fallout stinks but, the worse it smells the better it works! We would recommend always starting out with the wheels first as this is usually the dirtiest part of the car. Apply the Hydro Fallout generously to the alloys and watch the magic unfold before your eyes. The solution will change colour to a purple which is very satisfying to watch to say the least. This is when you know the product is working, the chemicals will change colour when it is reacting and breaking down the break dust and grime on your alloys. Next, layer over the top with Hydro Alloy, making sure you get in-between all spokes on the alloy. Double the chemicals, double the power! You can agitate this using a wash mitt or cleaning brushes, however we recommend using a separate mitt for your wheels to avoid scratching the car with any grit or dirt that might get stuck within the mitt. Once this has been agitated or left dwell, simply spray it off and you're good to go.

Hydro Glass 

These two products are essential, we of course need to see out our windows when driving and our non streak and smear free glass cleaner is the perfect tool for the job. Spray onto the windows or onto one of our Fishscale Microfibres and work from the outside in, using straight lines to clean. Try to avoid cleaning in circles as this can leave those dreaded smears on the window. No cloths to clean? Here's a little trick for you, grab an old newspaper as this is a great tool to clean windows with as again it avoids leaving any smears or streaks. Remember to do inside and out! 

Hydro Detail & Easywash

We all wish our cars would stay cleaner for longer, well we have created some products that will do just that! Our Hydro Detail is the ultimate post wash product. Spray onto the vehicle, a couple or sprays per panel is all you need. Work this in with a microfibre cloth until all residue has disappeared. The Hydro Detail will give you up to 3 MONTHS protection, water will glide straight off the car and ultimately your car will stay cleaner for longer!
